The Food for Fines drive that was conducted at both Hayner Library facilities during the month of October was a huge success. More than 1,000 items were collected and donated to the Alton Crisis Food Center. Thanks to all of you who participated! It was a win-win-win event. Hayner Library got back long-overdue items—the patrons who returned those items with canned goods had the fines for those items waived—and the Alton Crisis Food Center will be able to pass on the food items that were so generously donated!
