Warren Brown, a Mark Twain scholar, received the Studs Terkel Humanities Service Award in 2000 for his Chautauqua-style portrayal of Samuel Clemens. He has delivered more than 900 presentations portraying Mark Twain promoting literacy, independent thinking and decisive action.
