Will Schuenke

Will went on a field trip with his class to the Arch and the Old Courthouse. He was allowed to take $10 of his allowance to buy something from the gift shop. When he got home that night he showed his mother what he had bought on his trip. It looked as if he had only spent about $5. She asked him what he had done with the rest of the money. He told his mother that he had bought an item for another boy in his group because the boy was the only kid in his group who hadn’t brought money with him to buy something from the gift shop. Will told his mother he just thought it was the right thing to do.

haynes

Zion Haynes

On Thursday, February 25, 2010, Zion’s mother went into a seizure. Zion, who is four years old, called 911 because he knew that she needed help. He was able to tell the authorities his name, his age, and where he lived. He told them his mother was having a seizure and asked if they could come and help her. The ambulance came and the paramedics were able to help his mother. His school bus then pulled up, and after calmly asking the paramedics if things were under control, he told them he had to go to school, grabbed his backpack, and boarded the bus.

Singleton

Noah and Kaleb Singleton

A parent reported that her son had left his scooter on the bike rack at his school. When he returned the scooter was gone. The description was announced over the P.A. system. Noah and Kaleb went to the office and reported that a boy from the neighborhood, not a student at the school, stole the scooter. The theft was reported to the police and recovered, thanks to Noah and Kaleb.
