You will soon be able to access library services wherever you go. Imagine being in a bookstore and seeing the latest best seller for sale. You can scan the ISBN with your mobile phone and find out if the title is available through the library, and then, if you like, reserve the library copy for yourself. You can read book reviews and also search and download e-books and audiobooks to your mobile device.
These services will be made available to you by The Hayner Public Library District through our partnership with Boopsie, a native app platform for multiple devices including Android, iPhone, iPod, iPad, Blackberry, Nook Color, Kindle Fire, Palm OS, and more.
Boopsie is a world-class multi-platform mobile solution that integrates with library systems so that patrons can put books on hold, search the entire catalog, check out, renew, see library hours and locations, all from their mobile phones. With Boopsie you can also access online databases such as Tutor.com, Mango, and Novelist Plus. By this fall, The Hayner Public Library District will be offering Boopsie functionality to anyone with a supported mobile device. Only Hayner patrons will be able to issue reserve/holds through Boopsie. Watch our website for availability and new developments!
