Hayner Public Library will be hosting a story time once per month in the new Eagles Nest located on the upper level across from the food court. This story time is exclusively for the little ones ages 2–5 years old. This 30-minute story time includes themed stories, songs, finger plays, and manipulative.  Meeting dates are Wednesday, March 17; Wednesday,  April 21; and Wednesday,  May 19, 2010, at 11 a.m.  No registration required!

On Monday, February 22, at 10 a.m., we will start Story Time with Hector. The last Monday of every month we will be offering Spanish stories read by Hector Lozano, who usually works in the Downtown Library. The idea is to introduce one or two Spanish words at each session, so that by the end of the year the children attending will have had an introduction to the Spanish language. Hayner KidsSpace will be hosting its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 20th, 1–3 p.m. Registration is required by Monday, March 15th for this event. To register call 462-0677, ext. 2837 or stop by the KidsSpace information desk. Parents, don’t forget your cameras!

Come join us in the KidsSpace on Friday, November 20^th, for a fun evening including puppet shows, snacks, and music and stories with performer Becky Long. All the fun begins at 6 p.m. Please stop in and register at the KidsSpace information desk or call 462-0677, ext. 2837.

Santa will be visiting the Downtown Library on Saturday, December 12^th, at 2 p.m. and KidsSpace on Saturday, December 19^th, from 1 p.m.–3 p.m. Bring the little ones in to sit on Santa’s lap and receive a treat bag.  Parents, don’t forget your camera! Please register at 462-0677, ext. 2837.
