Programs

The Hayner Public Library District is committed to providing quality, free programming for patrons of all ages. Entertaining, educational, and engaging, our programs are fun for the whole family. We offer lecture series, magicians, singers, instructional classes, story times, puppet shows, and a whole host of other activities.

  • Adult programming is generally held in our programming room in the upper level of Alton Square Mall; other adult programming may be held in our Multipurpose Room at the Alton Square Library.
  • Genealogy & Local History programming is generally held in the Genealogy & Local History Library located at 401 State Street, Alton, IL, 62002.
  • Teen programming is generally held in the Riverbender.com Community Center located at 200 W. Third Street, Alton, IL, 62002.
  • Children's programming is generally held in our KidsSpace rooms at the Downtown and Alton Square Libraries.

All library programming is free of charge but most programs require registration. To register, call 1-800-613-3163.
