A List of Helpful Student Databases

Posted September 26th, 2013 in Teens, Uncategorized

The Hayner Public Library District subscribes to many wonderful online databases. These databases are great resources for high school and college students writing papers and working on school projects. The databases are subject and keyword searchable; the databases give students access to thousands of online journal and periodical articles, reference books, maps, images, and more! The databases include online citation tools (APA, Chicago, Harvard, MLA, etc.) as well.

Hayner Library also subscribes to online databases that allow you to take practice tests for the ACT, SAT, GRE, ASVAB, GED, and more! Want to learn a new language? Hayner Library subscribes to an online language learning database that features a mobile app. You can even get homework help with an online tutor.

The best part about all of these databases? They’re FREE!

Visit www.haynerlibrary.org and click on the “Online Resources” tab to access the databases.  The databases are available from home 24/7. You will need a Hayner Library card when accessing the databases from home.  Continue Reading
