We’re taking full advantage of all of the cool board games, video games, gaming systems, and arcade games that the Riverbender.com Community Center has to offer! This free program is part of the Teen Summer Reading Program event, Teen Days at the Riverbender.com Community Center. Teen Days begins at 2 p.m. at the Riverbender.com Community Center at 200 W. 3rd Street, Alton. Please call 433-2872 for reservations.

“Dig” into the animal world beneath the surface as Animal Tales presents their program “Animal Underground.” Animal Underground will feature live animals from across the globe that either hunt from above or use the subterranean to hide out. Expect to get up close and personal with predators and prey alike.
This program is part of the Teen Summer Reading Program event, Teen Days at the Riverbender.com Community Center. Teen Days begins at 2 p.m. at the Riverbender.com Community Center at 200 W. 3rd Street, Alton. The Animal Tales program will begin at 3 p.m.

Come join the fun at the Riverbender.com Community Center for our Teen Movie Event. Each month Hayner Library will host a movie at the Riverbender.com movie theater exclusively for teens. The movie will be a PG–13 new release. Pizza is on the menu! Movies start at 4 p.m.
Buses are available to transport after school from Alton Middle School, Alton High School, and St. Mary’s Catholic School. To register, call Shannon at 433-2861.
Note: This program will take place at the Riverbender.com Community Center, 200 W. 3rd Street, Alton.

The Hayner Public Library District subscribes to many wonderful online databases. These databases are great resources for high school and college students writing papers and working on school projects. The databases are subject and keyword searchable; the databases give students access to thousands of online journal and periodical articles, reference books, maps, images, and more! The databases include online citation tools (APA, Chicago, Harvard, MLA, etc.) as well.
Hayner Library also subscribes to online databases that allow you to take practice tests for the ACT, SAT, GRE, ASVAB, GED, and more! Want to learn a new language? Hayner Library subscribes to an online language learning database that features a mobile app. You can even get homework help with an online tutor.
The best part about all of these databases? They’re FREE!
