Hayner Library at Alton Square Mall Performance Room (Upper Level)
Tuesday, November 17, 2026, 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Dr. Ken Wadland is a lifelong traveler, storyteller, and explorer of world cultures. He has visited all fifty U.S. states, all ten Canadian provinces, and countries across six continents. From major world capitals to remote villages lacking electricity or plumbing, he seeks out places where daily life unfolds in ways that most visitors never experience. Our first presentation will focus on Italy. Dr. Wadland will highlight key locations, including the streets of Rome, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Cinque Terre, and the grand canals of Venice. He will also explore Pompeii and Sicily to view the Greek temples. Finally, Dr. Wadland will provide an overview of daily life in Italy.

Dr. Wadland will host an online, one-hour presentation via Zoom to share his adventures through stories and slides, concluding with a question-and-answer session for the audience.
