Branching Out Genealogy Classes

June 8 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

The Hayner Genealogy & Local History Library offers Branching Out classes at the Genealogy & Local History Library, 401 State Street, Alton. Branching Out classes take place from 10:00-11:30 a.m.
April 13 – Social Media: Research Help, Sharing, and Collaborating
April 20 – Discussion Group
May 11 – Ancestry.com: Databases of Records, Maps, and Histories
May 18 – Discussion Group
June 8 – FamilySearch.org: Databases, Digitized Books and Microfilm, the WIKI
June 15 – Discussion Group
On the second Thursday of each month, library staff presents a discussion of a genealogy research topic. On the third Thursday, we gather around the fireplace, and each of us gets a chance to share family stories, photos, and projects. We just relax and listen when we don’t have anything to share. We learn from each other and have some laughs too!
Branching Out classes and discussion group meetings will continue throughout 2023 on the second and third Thursdays of each month.
